Gran Luchito
A new product, from a North London chef.
It’s heart (and main ingredient) were Mexican.
We had to create a brand from scratch.
My design brought together illustration with my hand painted type to bring out the artisan, small producer heart of the fiery chilli paste and it’s other products.
We wanted the feel of this brand to be authentically Mexican and artisan. I hand rendered the type and used wood-cut illustration of the farmer's hard work in unrelenting heat to harvest the special chili's used in the paste.
Initially the product was only available online, so we made the packaging feel hand finished.
We even had a faux Mexican postage mark.
Soon the brand produced more products.
